Staff

Deeply affected by her father's diagnosis of cancer, Stacy Ecker jumped at the chance to steer her profession as a licensed cosmetologist into working exclusively with wigs, known as cranial prosthesis. "Working with women who face hair loss due to chemotherapy is so gratifying. I feel fortunate just to be able to help women restore their self-image and make them feel like themselves again," states Stacy. "Women come into our store with the fear of the unknown; but leave saying their experience of hair loss was not as bad as they thought because they're wearing a hair piece that feels and looks like their own hair!" Stacy has worked entirely on fitting wigs for women for over 7 years and has helped thousands of women.

Nancy Przeklas has been in this business since 2000. She began by helping women with their hair loss issues and became an ABC/BOC Certified Mastectomy Fitter in 2002. "I found that fitting women for breast forms and bras was the most rewarding part of my job," states Przeklas. "The personal bonds that I build with women are, to me, what life is all about." When a women has breast surgery - whether a mastectomy, lumpectomy, or reconstruction - their self image is dramatically changed. Nancy helps women feel good about how they look with breast forms and mastectomy bras. "I strive for a seamless and symmetrical look," says Nancy. "It's the best feeling when a woman hugs me and says, 'Thank you for making me feel great!' Women who walk into A Woman's Image feeling frustrated can walk out feeling completely satisfied."
