Being diagnosed with breast cancer at age 34 was devastating. Not only was I going to lose a breast, but to also lose my hair was even more upsetting to me. It was as if I was losing everything feminine about myself, all at once.
I actually visited 3 different wig shops and boutiques, before coming to A Women's Image. But, I knew from the moment I walked in the door, that this was the place for me!!
Stacy and Nancy, the Owners of this boutique, are the most compassionate, caring and understanding women, and they made me feel like I was the most important person that walked through their doors that day. These two wonderful women have helped me regain my confidence back and I am able to hold my chin up high once again while out in public places. I feel like I am still a feminine woman, and no one is staring at me because I am a bald Cancer Patient. They really understand how one's self image is very important, and they helped me find a wig that looked just like my own hair style did! I guess that is why they went with the name A Women's Image. They are there to help you feel like you are stll that same woman you were before, and they are very professional, passionate and educated in their ways.
I have highly recommend A Women's Image to everyone I have met down my road to recovery. Because, not only do these 2 wonderful women help you regain your confidence back, but they also treat you like family, and that is what matters the most! They even shut down their shop doors for me to bring in my support group of about 17 friends and family members, so I wasn't alone in my Journey! They have truly touched my heart!!
So, if you ever need a wig or breast prosthesis, I would definitely recommend A Women's Image THEY ARE THE BEST!

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2006, I decided to be pro-active and keep an open mind to all the options available to me. Once of those options was going to "A Woman's Image" to educate myself on their mastectomy and wig products before my surgery and chemotherapy treatments. I encourage any woman facing this diagnosis to go and talk to Nancy and Stacy. Their wealth of knowledge and advice to women facing cancer was invaluable to me. I found their environment warm, respectful, and caring. They truly care about making you feel comfortable and giving back what so many of us have lost to this disease. Working full time in a professional environment, my appearance was very much a concern for me when I returned to work. My clothes fit great, and I have to say that my co-workers did not even notice I had lost my hair. The transition to the wig went virtually unnoticed! I am thrilled with my experience with "A Woman's Image"! Thank you Nancy & Stacy for giving "me" back!
Hi! I purchased one of the Wildbleu nightgowns at the Women's Expo in Novi this past weekend. I told the young woman at the booth that I would let her know if it worked for me.
Yay! I have had two good nights of sleep. Although I wake up briefly when the flash starts, I go right back to sleep because I am not soaking wet.
I would like to get maybe a t-shirt and capri set. When is the new pink polka dot pattern going to be available? Thank you!

I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate the care and comfort you provided to me. While losing my hair, it was a constant reminder of the control cancer can have. Taking charge and shaving it helped put me back in control mentally. While I know God led me into your hands that day, I know it is a special person who uses the talents they have to serve others as you do. You made a difficult time calming and comforting. You made an impact on me and I will share your positive attitude with others.

Facing total hair loss from chemotherapy was a devastating thought for me, but Nancy & Stacy at A Woman’s Image were fantastic!!
From the first time I walked through their door, they made me feel very comfortable and at ease. I told them my goal was to look the same with my wig as I looked with my real hair.
I would have to say they accomplished that goal because I ran into a friend of mine at my son’s hockey game that I hadn’t seen in about a year. I proceeded to tell her about my cancer diagnosis and my treatments. She then said to me ‘Does that mean you’re going to lose your hair?’and I replied, ‘I already did, this is my wig.’ My friend was totally astounded!! I have also had many people who know of my situation, compliment on how realistic and natural I look.

Nancy went out of her way to make certain I was satisfied with my breast form and bras. I have never received such personalized attention and care from anyone fitting me for a bra, much less for one with a prosthesis. I now look balanced and my "projection" is perfect. A Woman's Image is worth the trip, regardless of where you live.

Stacy, I want to thank you for taking so much time with me in the process of picking out a wig. You made a difficult experience become comfortable. I have told my friends and family if they ever need a wig or hairpiece that I highly recommend your shop. By the way, Everyone Loves The Wig!!

Just wanted to drop a quick note saying how wonderful I feel now that I have the right size breasts. The drape, projection are perfect, and love the look. Thanks to your expertise, I am on my way to the womanhood I have always wanted to achieve.
