We have earned the highest marks set forth by The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) for quality orthotic, prosthetic, and pedorthic care. ABC certification, facility accreditation, and mandatory continuing education represent our most rigorous professional achievements. We are participating with Medicare, BC/BS and most insurance companies, thus providing our customers little to no out-of-pocket expenses. |

2nd Annual Art With A Heart

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI (April 25th, 2009) A Woman's Image of Clinton Township will host the 2nd Annual "Art With A Heart" fundraiser to benefit Gilda's Club Metro Detroit. Gilda's Club is a free cancer support center for men, women, and children coping with a cancer diagnosis. A Woman's Image, in partnership with Gilda's Club, understands the essential need for patients to find comfort and inner peace in their life changes. "It's all about helping to restore a positive self image and making a difference in another person's life," says co-owner of A Woman's Image, Nancy Przeklas. "We are hoping that by transforming our store into a gallery of inspirational art we can continue to give customers our most sincere expressions of support, care, and love in an artistic form." This year's event will feature pieces from 20 local artists including Johnny Bee Badanjek, whose work can been seen in a mural at Children's Hospital, and will also be featured at The City Fest Gallery in Detroit this July. Also on display will be the one of a kind, glow in the dark, Visual Illuminated Theatre created by Mike Chisholm locally known as "Chizzy". These works, along with many other inspirational pieces will be featured at the "Art With a Heart" fundraiser. Last year's event was very successful with over 500 people supporting this exciting, one day event that and co-owners, Ecker and Przeklas are hoping this year's event attracts even more art lovers. "We are hoping to have wonderful support again this year, with the state of our economy our local nonprofits really need all the help the community can offer," says A Woman's Image co-owner Stacy Ecker. "I truly feel that Gilda's is a great support system for those fighting and surviving a cancer diagnosis. After my father's passing from lung cancer, Gilda's Club was a great comfort for me and our family members. The circle of hope and support that Gilda's Club offers gives you strength when you feel you have no more to give and is essential for families fighting this disease." The 2nd Annual "Art With A Heart" will take place on Saturday, April 25th from 3 to 8p.m. at A Woman's Image located at 43205 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, in the Campus Plaza just north of 19 Mile Road across from Olga's Kitchen. Wine, cheese, and light refreshments will be served throughout the afternoon. A $5.00 donation at the door is given entirely to Gilda's Club and a portion of all art sales will also be donated to the Gilda's. |
A Woman's Image is a boutique where women facing issues of hair loss due to chemotherapy, alopecia, or medicinal hair loss can find solutions with synthetic or human hair wigs. Stacy Ecker, licensed cosmetologist assists women in achieving a natural look. Nancy Przeklas, certified mastectomy fitter, provides women with a professional and private consultation offering breast forms and bras that ultimately allow women to feel complete again. The boutique accepts most insurances with little to no out-of-pocket expenses. |

Customer Appreciation Day
As a way to show our appreciation and celebrate A Woman's Image grand re-opening we are holding a Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, March 28 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. All customers, community members and friends are invited to share in a fun filled afternoon featuring refreshments and snacks. We would like to take this opportunity to express our utmost gratitude for allowing A Woman's Image to grow through your wonderful referrals and patronage. Please join us in an appreciation day of refreshments and hor'dourves. Nancy, Stacy and Lee are excited to announce and welcome you to the newly expanded home of A Woman's Image.
